I am a rising junior in college studying Accounting and Spanish, and I want to study abroad in a Spanish speaking country. To graduate on time, I would need to take equivalent accounting classes wherever I go.
Necessary topics: liabilities, income tax allocation, investments, and revenue recognition, accounting principles.
With the new IFRS (International Financial and Reporting Standards) most western GAAPs are gonna be pretty similar.
Concerning Spain, do they have the same Accounting Principles. Did the changes made in 2009 made the Spanish GAAP pretty similar to the US GAAP. I don’t know about any other Spanish Speaking Country.
