Is 45% in stocks really a conservative portfolio?

My stock broker’s web site shows different investment allocations for conservative, moderate, aggressive investing. They show the “moderately conservative” asset allocation as 45% in equity, split between large cap, small cap and international. I get nervous with more than 30% in equities. Do most small investors (6 – 7 figure portfolios) invest 45% or more in stocks?

It’s good but don’t go by websites. Always make sure YOU’RE comfortable with your balanced portfolio.
