In 2001 the General Assembly gave a 50 percent increase in pensions for most state legislators, million via property taxes and state budget money for the pension systems, but by the end of FY 2012 taxpayers will be on the hook for $4.2 billion per year. This number will slowly climb up to reach a peak of $6.4 billion by 2032.

Because his theme music is incredibly annoying, and many people think so. It’s a side issue, but 1 out of 100 comments being non-serious, at least on my part, isn’t going to derail good discussion.

Thats the truth about politicians…and just about 90% of upper management in north America…. The workers work and those that dont work…. get promoted.

    Demcad. You are a …
Demcad. You are a young man. There is no need for you to think of having to work forever, if you just take financial resposibility now for securing your retirement. Everyone sits back and waits for the government to cover their retirement. As we all know, this is not a reliable plan. But making your own plans can secure a good standard of living. You do not have to start out rich – you have to take control of your finances.

What the is the obsession and focus on DEMCAD’s theme music? I happen to like the music. Let’s focus on the important issues guys.

    Yeah the dollar has …
Yeah the dollar has fallen to a low for the year, but did you see CNN’s headline? “Dollar up!” Apparently it bounced just slightly off the bottom, and they’re ignoring the fact that it’s at a yearly low. All they report is that it’s up. *sigh*

Governing is the act of working against the people while convincing them you’re helping.

    You accomplish …
You accomplish things then the politicians accomplish things by taking away what you accomplished, and arrogantly brag about how wonderful they are and what they’ve done, like big business. They sit around on the accomplishments of their employees. And usurp power in the marketplace.

    2. If taxes and …
    2. If taxes and excessive regulation aren’t a problem by then, Maybe I’ll build an earthship. An earthship is a house that get’s water from rain and power from solar with passive solar heating and passive cooling from air ducts buried under ground. With a setup like that you could live for nearly nothing.
Of course I could get cancer or something and I might not have access to medical but if that happens It’s probably my time to go anyway.

  16. vention4wh says:

    I think the best …
I think the best retirement is to have your home paid off. If you do you can live very inexpensively. I’m about 24 thousand away from that point with my condo. In time I’ll trade it in for a few acres in the sticks, live in a nice trailer (to keep the taxes down) and use the principles of permaculture to get the land to provide most of my food. I don’t expect to get much of a retirement either but I’m so frugal by nature that I probably won’t need much.

Its coming! The imposition of Martial Laws, and to facilitate the opening and complete operations of the Fema camps.
Fema camps–>re-education centers, debt labor camps, population control, solutions to food, housing and water crisises, and final solution for health care, crime, political and social dissent and the economic crisis.

What you said ain’t close to what it says, Brother. There are variations..as many as there are interpretations, but yours is suspect and off the mark and intent of any of them.

Elect some unemployed teachers and local leaders of integrity..don’t wait for parties to push them on you..find your own candidates! . 26. You reverse of these effects when every month that you pay more than the mandatory amount. The principal amount to a ( what you are really bought ) gets reduced faster, lowering the interest worked out on the principle for that month.

Do it. I've only grown my hair out for one other event – prom. After I cut it off (probably 9 inches?) But, I did it horribly uncute and I looked 12 during my entire freshman year of college. This time, I'll have about 17″ to cut off. It's been growing like a weed!!! But FSIL is going to cut it super cute since that's her expertise. And it'll always grow out.

  28. Samuel Rosenbalm says:

I can see your point, Moe. However, I don't feel it's right for the Government to make provisions for Religious worship. If the soldiers themselves want to get together on their own time, then fine. But any assistance from the Government is wrong. I'll tell you what else is wrong. Did you know that State prisons provide religious services for inmates? Bibles, Korans, Talmuds, all can be found in prison libraries. Prisons even have Chaplains that, if I am not mistaken, are full time employees! That's wrong.
