Trying to model a hypothetical investment portfolio starting in 1993 and I need a proxy for the bond market allocation.
Vanguard, fidelity, pimco have quite a few to choose from.

Pimco Total Return (PTTAX)
Putnam Income Fund (PINCX)
The Bond Fund of America (ABNDX)
Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.
Note that all three are load funds, so you may have to adjust your model to reflect or ignore this fact (depending on what type of analysis you’re doing). The funds’ prospectuses give returns both ways (with and without sales charges).
Hope that helps.
